Selection of the length unit used in the GUI and in output listings.

The desired length unit can be selected from the list of available units. The list contains in principle units derived from SI-units (m, cm, mm) and customary US units (inch, feet, yard). The shown factor defines the ratio to the standard unit [m].

Furthermore the user can input an arbitrary user-defined unit by entering the name and respective factor.
